  • 4 fillets Tilapia Substitute with other white fish if desired.
  • 1 tsp Kosher salt Or use sea salt.
  • 1 tsp Freshly ground black pepper
For the Garlic Lemon Butter
  • 5 Tbsp Unsalted butter Substitute with olive oil for dairy-free.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Finely chopped, or use 1/2 tsp garlic powder.
  • 1/4 tsp Crushed red pepper flakes Omit for a milder dish.
  • 1/2 lemon Juice and zest Add more lemon juice for extra tang.
  • Lemon slices Use lime slices for a different zing.
For Garnish
  • 2 Tbsp Chopped fresh parsley Can be omitted if unavailable.

Cooking Steps
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Gather ingredients and prepare baking dish.
  2. Season both sides of tilapia fillets with kosher salt and black pepper, place in a greased baking dish.
  3. Melt butter in a bowl, add garlic, red pepper flakes, lemon juice, and zest, stir to combine.
  4. Pour the garlic lemon butter mixture over the tilapia, lay lemon slices on top.
  5. Bake for 10 to 20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 145°F and fish is flaky.
  6. Serve and garnish with chopped parsley, drizzling any remaining garlic lemon butter on top.
