Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, combine fresh strawberries with balsamic vinegar over medium heat. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens to a jam-like consistency.
  2. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly while preparing the fresh strawberries.
  3. In a mixing bowl, slice remaining strawberries and toss with chopped basil, honey, and a pinch of salt. Let sit at room temperature for around 10 minutes.
  4. On a large serving plate, layer the marinated strawberries and place torn or cut burrata cheese on top.
  5. Drizzle some thickened balsamic strawberries over the top. Drizzle extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle with black pepper and sea salt.
  6. Serve immediately with toasted bread on the side.
