For the Creamy Sauce
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese freshly grated
  • 1/2 cup Cream can substitute with half-and-half or milk
  • 3 cups Broth use vegetable broth for vegetarian
For Seasoning
  • to taste Seasoning (e.g., salt, pepper) be mindful of salt if broth is seasoned

Directions
  1. Gather all your ingredients: orzo pasta, chicken breast, broccoli, cheddar cheese, cream, and broth. Prep chicken and broccoli.
  2. In a large pot, heat a splash of olive oil over medium heat. Cook diced chicken for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Add orzo, broccoli, broth, and seasoning to the pot. Stir and bring to a boil.
  4. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 10-12 minutes until orzo is tender and liquid is absorbed.
  5. Remove from heat, stir in cream and cheddar until melted and creamy.
  6. Serve immediately, garnishing with extra cheese if desired.
