For the Glaze
  • 0.25 cups Fresh Orange Juice Bottled juice works in a pinch.
  • 3 tablespoons Honey Maple syrup can add a unique twist.
  • 2 tablespoons Low-Sodium Soy Sauce Tamari or coconut aminos are great for gluten-free diets.
  • 4 cloves Garlic, crushed/minced
  • Salt & Cracked Pepper Adjust according to taste.

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add olive oil and butter, melting for about 1-2 minutes until shimmering.
  2. Place the skin-side of salmon fillets into the hot skillet. Sear for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Flip and sear the other side for an additional 2 minutes.
  3. Pour in fresh orange juice and simmer for about 1 minute until reduced by half.
  4. Add crushed garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Move salmon to one side of the skillet, add honey and soy sauce to the other side, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 1-2 minutes until thickened.
  6. Spoon the glaze over the salmon fillets, cooking for an extra minute to reach an internal temperature of 125-130°F.
  7. Remove from heat, serve on a platter, drizzling remaining glaze over the salmon and garnish with fresh orange slices.
