Ingredients
  

For the Chicken
  • 1 lb Boneless Skinless Chicken Thighs Juicy and tender
For the Marinade
  • 1/2 cup Japanese BBQ Sauce Bachan’s Original is recommended
  • 1/4 cup Soy Sauce Kikkoman Less Sodium works well
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha Adjust to heat preference
  • 2 cloves Garlic Freshly minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger Freshly grated
  • 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Oil Adds rich flavor
  • 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes Adjust according to your liking
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
For the Garnish
  • 1 tbsp Sesame Seeds Toasted for garnish
  • 2 tbsp Green Onions Minced for garnish
Optional Condiment
  • 1/4 cup Yum Yum Sauce For serving

Method
 

Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl or resealable bag, combine soy sauce, sriracha, minced garlic, grated ginger, toasted sesame oil, red chili flakes, salt, and pepper. Stir or shake until fully blended.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade, ensuring they are evenly coated. Seal the bag or cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium heat (375-400°F) about 15 minutes before grilling.
  4. Mince green onions for garnish and toast sesame seeds in a skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  5. Carefully place the marinated chicken thighs on the grill and grill for 10-12 minutes, flipping every 2-3 minutes.
  6. During the last 2 minutes of grilling, brush the chicken thighs with Japanese BBQ sauce.
  7. Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F.
  8. Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes. Serve garnished with sesame seeds and green onions.
