  • 2 cloves garlic minced

  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds optional
  • 2 scallions chopped or green onions

Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Sesame Chicken
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the sauce ingredients: water, brown sugar, soy sauce, honey, vinegar, cornstarch, toasted sesame oil, and minced garlic. Mix until cornstarch dissolves completely.
  2. Cut the chicken breasts into approximately 1-inch pieces and toss with cornstarch until fully coated.
  3. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add half of the chicken pieces in a single layer and cook for about 4 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. Transfer the cooked chicken to a plate and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet. Cook the remaining chicken pieces until golden and crispy.
  5. Return all the chicken to the skillet, pour in the prepared sauce, and simmer for 30 seconds to 1 minute until sauce thickens.
  6. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped scallions. Serve over rice or noodles.
