  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning Fresh herbs like rosemary can be used.

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, combine warm water with sugar. Sprinkle yeast over and let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil, then mix on low. Gradually add flour until dough pulls away from bowl.
  3. Preheat oven to 220°F (110°C), then turn off. Place dough in the warm oven to rise.
  4. Roll out the dough to fit your skillet and transfer into the greased skillet.
  5. Cover skillet and let rise in the warm oven for about 20 minutes.
  6. Press fingers into the risen dough. Mix butter, parmesan, and Italian seasoning in a bowl and brush half over the dough.
  7. Increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Brush remaining butter mixture on top, then let cool slightly before slicing.
