- In a medium bowl, combine warm water with sugar. Sprinkle yeast over and let sit for about 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil, then mix on low. Gradually add flour until dough pulls away from bowl.
- Preheat oven to 220°F (110°C), then turn off. Place dough in the warm oven to rise.
- Roll out the dough to fit your skillet and transfer into the greased skillet.
- Cover skillet and let rise in the warm oven for about 20 minutes.
- Press fingers into the risen dough. Mix butter, parmesan, and Italian seasoning in a bowl and brush half over the dough.
- Increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for 20 minutes until golden brown.
- Brush remaining butter mixture on top, then let cool slightly before slicing.
