- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown 1 lb. of ground beef and 1 lb. of ground hot sausage for 8-10 minutes until thoroughly cooked. Stir occasionally and drain excess grease.
- Reduce the heat to low and add 8 oz. of Velveeta cheese cut into cubes. Stir continuously for about 3-4 minutes until the cheese is fully melted and creamy.
- Incorporate 1 tbsp. of Worcestershire sauce, 1 tsp. of oregano, 1 tsp. of garlic salt, and a pinch of salt. Stir and keep warm for 2 minutes.
- Preheat your broiler to high and line a baking sheet with slices of party rye bread.
- Using a spoon, place about 2 tbsp. of the meat and cheese mixture onto each slice of rye bread, spreading it evenly.
- Place the baking sheet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes until the tops are golden brown and bubbly. Alternatively, bake at 350°F for 15-18 minutes.
- Once done, remove and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley. Serve warm.
