  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs for a crunchy topping

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and gather your cooking tools.

  3. Cook the chicken in the same skillet over medium-high heat for 6-8 minutes per side until cooked through.
  4. Combine sautéed mushrooms, chopped chicken, cooked penne pasta, Marsala wine, and cheese in a mixing bowl.
  5. Pour the combined mixture into a greased casserole dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Sprinkle panko breadcrumbs generously over the top of the mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until the topping is golden and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Allow the casserole to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
