Ingredients
  

For the Filling
  • 1 pound Lean Ground Beef or ground turkey/chicken
  • 3 ounces Pepperoni reduce fat option available
  • 1 cup Low-Fat Mozzarella Cheese or your favorite cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder or fresh onion
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika or regular paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano or fresh oregano
  • 1 cup Crushed Tomatoes or pizza sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 tablespoon Flat-Leaf Parsley optional
For the Wraps
  • 6 pieces Wraps (tortilla or dough) whole wheat wraps can be used
  • 1 tablespoon Spray Oil or olive oil

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. In a small bowl, combine onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and dried oregano.
  2. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add the lean ground beef. Season lightly with salt and pepper, and cook until browned.
  3. Add coarsely chopped pepperoni and the prepared spice blend into the pan. Stir together and cook until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste, stirring to combine, and simmer for about 2-3 minutes.
  5. Spoon the beef and pepperoni mixture onto each wrap, sprinkle with mozzarella cheese, and roll tightly.
  6. Place rolls seam-side down in a lightly greased baking tray and spray the tops with oil.
  7. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F) and bake the rolls for 8-10 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Cool for a few minutes before serving warm, optional with marinara for dipping.
