- Begin by cleaning and deveining the shrimp under cold running water. Pat them dry thoroughly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, and your choice of spices to create a batter.
- Take each shrimp and dip it into the batter, ensuring it’s thoroughly coated on all sides.
- In a deep pan, pour enough vegetable oil to submerge the shrimp halfway. Heat to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the shrimp to the hot oil in batches, fry for about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Once golden brown, use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
- Just before serving, drizzle hot honey generously over the fried shrimp.
