Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 9-inch round cake pans.

  7. Divide the batter among the prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  8. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
Frosting Preparation
  1. Beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  2. Gradually add the powdered sugar and mix on low until combined, then beat until fluffy.
  3. Spread frosting between cooled cake layers and over the top and sides.
  4. Decorate with additional fresh strawberries if desired.
