Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, chopped cilantro, grated ginger, and sliced scallions. Add soy sauce and sesame oil, and mix thoroughly.
  2. Bring a pot of water to a boil, add cabbage leaves, and blanch for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to ice water to cool.
  3. Place about a tablespoon of filling at the base of each cabbage leaf, fold sides in, and roll tightly. Use beaten egg on edges to seal.
  4. Line a steamer basket with parchment paper or oil it. Arrange dumplings in the basket, add water, cover, and steam for 15-20 minutes.
  5. Heat olive oil in a skillet, add steamed dumplings, and sauté for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Drizzle with remaining soy sauce and garnish with scallions. Serve warm.
