Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Cajun Seafood Boil
  1. In a large stockpot, bring 4-6 quarts of water to a rolling boil. Stir in Cajun seasoning, Old Bay, and optionally beer. Allow to boil for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add quartered potatoes and cook for about 10-12 minutes until they start to soften.
  3. Stir in sliced andouille sausage and cook for another 5 minutes.
  4. Add corn pieces, shrimp, and snow crab clusters to the pot; cook for 5-7 minutes until shrimp turn pink.
  5. While seafood cooks, melt unsalted butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Carefully drain the pot, pour onto a serving platter, and drizzle garlic butter sauce over the seafood boil. Serve immediately.
